Unheroic Conduct: the gay male body is designed to solicitate desire, it deliberately flaunts the visual norms of straight masculinity. (Daniel Boyarin) MKM Gallery presents an intimate and effeminized portrait of a chassidic figure whose delicate homoerotic attire has long withdrawn from Jewish tradition. BENYAMIN REICH (*1976 in Bnei Brak) graduated from the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. His work has been shown in various solo- and group exhibitions in Europe, such as by Axel Schlesinger Zürich (2023), Photo Basel (2022), Podbielski Contemporary Mailand (2022), Alexander Ochs Private (2020), Cokkie Snoei Rotterdam (2019), Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien Berlin (2015), Jüdisches Museum Berlin (2012), and others. The artist lives an works in Berlin. Solo & Friends exhibitions are dedicated to one single position, accompanied by the entire current ensemble of MKM arists.
